TELL CONGRESS AMERICA NEEDS A SECOND ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE!
The House and Senate are considering a second economic stimulus package to help jump start the economy in light of the financial crisis facing our nation. Included in the legislation are important anti-hunger programs that will help food banks meet the rising need for food assistance and increased cost of doing business. Additional funding for critical programs such as the Emergency Food Program (TEFAP) and Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) as well as a temporary increase in Food Stamps will help those families struggling to make ends meet during these difficult economic times. Tell your legislators that they need to pass this important legislation now!

HILARY TAKES A BACKSEAT!
GOOGLE
Hilary Rodam Clinton, introduced by her daughter, at the Democratic Convention, was amazing. Her speech was inspiring and I know her hope is that, her supporters will change their votes to support Barak Obama. Not an Obama fan myself, I see her point. By voting for Hilary as a write in, your vote will be lost, and Republican John McCain will only benefit from that. It won't be a vote for the Democrats, which is what we need. For the changes from the past eight years to go in a more positive direction, one that encompasses every American, not just big business and the rich, we must all vote Democratic and that means Obama.
I wonder how the White House Staff will respond, taking a subjective role under his, presumption. I'd like to see Michelle Obama stronger than I have seen her. She appears submissive and I'm not sure that she can find "herself" in the country, especially while raising two very young African American children in America. Having the first African American President may bring some consequence, as response to his blatant narcissism, which has nothing to do with his gender or his race.
I am saddened by Hilary's loss, but I know that many, that never expected her strength, will also be disappointed. I think she gained a great many points from her speech tonight. It is a shame that her supporters (me included), can't find a way to put her back in the driver's seat. So becoming an Obama supporter, although difficult, will be the best choice in this election. I believe his choice for Vice President should be in his favor. Biden's experience with foreign affairs should give the presidency an edge they might not have had.

11 YEAR OLD HERO TO THE HOMELESS
GOOGLE
11-Year-Old Jack Davis' Bill to Help the Homeless is about to Be Signed into Law!
Jack’s Bill, officially titled the "Jack Davis Florida Lending a Helping Hand Bill," which will allow restaurants to give their unused food to the homeless, just passed in the Florida House of Representatives. The next step is for the governor to sign it into law, which should happen in the next few weeks. Once the bill is signed, it should take effect July 1, 2008.
Jack went to Tallahassee and did a lot of lobbying for his bill. While there, Jack was fortunate enough to meet with several legislators and attend several sessions and committee meetings, but the highlight of his trip was a 20-minute meeting with the Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist. The governor had Jack sit in his chair, which Jack told him was "almost" as comfortable as the "Ellen chair.” The governor then promised he would sign Jack’s Bill into law if it reached his desk!
We’ll keep you updated, of course, to let you know how everything turned out, and to find out what great deeds Jack Davis will be pursuing next!
