TELL CONGRESS AMERICA NEEDS A SECOND ECONOMIC STIMULUS PACKAGE!
The House and Senate are considering a second economic stimulus package to help jump start the economy in light of the financial crisis facing our nation. Additional funding for critical programs such as the Emergency Food Program (TEFAP) and Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) as well as a temporary increase in Food Stamps will help those families struggling to make ends meet during these difficult economic times. EVERY CHILD, ONLY ONE HOUR EACH WEEK!

He talked about a study that he was part of, where they monitored the serotonin levels in people that did a simple act of kindness for another, and also of the receiver of the act of kindness, and they discovered that the serotonin levels in both were raised equally…even more, they monitored the people that watched the act of giving and receiving, and their serotonin levels were the same also. Amazing.
He went on to explain that he developed a habit now of, every morning, before anything else, he does a single act of kindness, like return a phone call, answer a letter, say a prayer for someone. He said that Lao Tzu (The author of The Tao Te Ching)said that “If you only have one prayer in a day, it should be of “GRATITUDE.” How beautiful.
He and Ellen decided to offer a challenge to her audience. The challenge is that everyday they should do a random act of kindness for another, with no expectation of reward or thanks, write it down, and return in 1 month to the show and see what the results are. I try everyday to do one act of random kindness, and the funny thing is, I would actually have to stop and think what it was, because as soon as I do it, it is gone from my mind, it has become habitual for me. But, I will begin to notice it and write it down for this month. I hope others will join in that challenge also.
I was taking my power walk today and I noticed a neighbor that I had not seen since last summer. The winter keeps most of us inside. (New England, no more explanation is needed). I had heard that she lost her son around Thanksgiving. As neighbors we all talked about doing something to help her and someone came up and volunteered to take up a collection for her to help with the funeral costs. Anyway, I ended my walk and went over to her and told her I was sorry to hear about her son. I asked how she was doing and she was at a loss for words, kind of well,,hhhmm, aahh. So I said, “You just taking it one day at a time?” (simple thing to say) and she responded with a smile and said “yes, exactly.” I took the time to tell her that, I also had lost a child, but it was over 20 years ago, and although we had experienced the same loss, I did not want to minimize her grief. I explained that over the years I had developed a habit of doing certain positive things when anniversaries of lost loved ones came up and I found that it worked very well for me. I also suggested that she watch “The Secret” the movie, because it had done wonderful things for me when I used it as a “Tool,” to aid in my recovery from Agoraphobia. She said I looked good and happy and I told her that maybe if she watched the movie or read the book, she would find some comfort in it also. I know she will, but I would not presume to tell her she that, I have no control over that, only she does…in her own time.

OK, IT'S TIME TO TAKE A WALK!

I have not experienced what they live everyday, but I know it takes very special people to do this, and I know that God had a hand in that for sure. I hope they all feel that way, although I'm sure, like all parents, they have the days where they wonder where God really is. I have seen God's work in these 2 weeks and it is a miraculous and beautiful thing, and I just want to applaud each of these parents for their love, fortitude, and the courage to put themselves out there for others, it takes special people to do that.
I hope if you have not seen the efforts that are being put forth to change the legislature around this disease, that you will educate yourself more and let your congressman know what changes you want implemented. This is a more than worthy cause, but even just to meet these amazing people, you should take a trip through the blogs of these people that are blogging for Autism this month. You should start with Momologue
Take five and dive right in, see what it is all about and offer support where you can.

GOD WILL ANSWER MY PRAYER!
From Oprah’s mission statement 04-01-2008
"Without loving and caring for others, most of us stand little chance of
communing with God, no matter how many years we may spend in silent prayer."
Bo Lozoff
The average person may read this and think “Finally, I have found a way to make my dreams come true, all I have to do is help a few people and then GOD WILL ANSWER MY PRAYER” And then, when their dreams still don’t come true, the first thing they do is turn on God. Seriously, I know people just like this, they lament all the time about how much they do for others and then when they need something it’s not there. Hello…it says “loving and caring”, that is a continuous state of being. That does not mean when you took care of your neighbor’s dog while they went away…It means service for God. Doing for others should be a priority. Of course, you do for your family everyday, I know… we all do that, but that is a choice we make when we choose to have a family. Loving and caring for others is a lot broader than that, it is the essence of you. It becomes you, it is you, and it is just a thought in your mind that gets it going, that shifts your consciousness
enough, to move in the direction of those IN NEED.
Loving and caring for others can come in many different ways, it can come by joining service with others to help others, it can come by giving a neighbor a break once a week when they need respite from the kids, the issues of their home life, or just because you love them. It should be innate in all of us, and it probably was, until our parents decided to interfere with nature, as did their parents. We are born without sin, with the essence of God himself, and we learned to shed that as the years went by, learning things the old way. It is time we teach our children the “new” way by setting an example. Set an example of loving and caring for others. Show our children that the true essence of God is in all of us and we should be standing up to the plate every chance we get.
If you want to see the true essence of God then you should visit this blog and join in service to help with this undertaking. Some of the most amazing Moms I have ever seen are part of this giant undertaking
and they can use all the help they can get. They can use others blogging for Autism
for the month of April, they can use new resources and people to spread the word. Whatever you have to offer, share it here or there, but share it, make a commitment to shift your consciousness
for others and then sit and wait…. for the within to answer the call. Stop waiting for what God is going to reward you with, learn selflessness, learn humility and put them to work in the service of causes that need you. There is something for everyone to do in almost every experience we have. There are millions of people, some without homes,
food, clothing, shelter and love…help them without expecting reward. You already have the reward, it is in your heart, be grateful for it every morning and every night, everyday.
Make a choice to watch it, read it or live it…but at least try it, and remember this:

THEY ARE IN THE PRESENT
“I am looking for the missing link. If I continue to look for the link, I will never find it, I will just create more ways to look for it. I am so grateful to have the missing link, God. Thank you. With All My Love, Thank you, God.
LOL, God (LOVE OUT LOUD).
When we go looking for something, we will only find more of what we are looking for. Like when someone says, “ Hey man, I am just trying to find myself”. What they are saying is they do not know who they are. But if they “realize” that they do not know who they are…THEY ARE IN THE PRESENT for that moment. “Believe it is in your future and live in the present, you already have everything you need.”
Make a choice to watch it, read it or live it…but at least try it, and remember this:
THE SECRET
Thoughts do become things.
There are no coincidences.
Miracles are all around us.
Ask, Believe and you will receive.

EVERYONE'S LIFE PURPOSE
“The dash between your date of birth and date of death is the accumulation of your entire life.”
All the dramas, including my two marriages and the other dramatic experiences in my life are only a dash on my gravestone. It was after hearing that that I realized the expectancy I feel, a great deal of the the time, is fear…fear that I will not become who I am supposed to be before my life ends. Afraid the flower will not bloom until death. It is close to death when a lot of us experience the release of the “ego”and the light begins to shine or the flower blooms. Well, like others I’m sure, I do not want to have that burden. The solution is to let go of the “ego” now. By looking for myself, I will just attract more stress, trying to find myself.
I do not want the accumulation of my life to be reduced to a dash, so the rest of my life will be lived by experiencing the beauty of every day, the beauty of every moment. We all get caught up in the collective mind set, that keeps us suffering. We believe that we are looking for peace in the world, and collectively we are saying we want peace, but the whole time we are looking for it, armies are still being formed and weapons are still being made. We are looking for peace, while peace is already within us, in the stillness. When we are in the stillness there is the peace. More of us need to want the same thing, so collectively, we will find stillness, so instead of looking for peace recognize and be grateful for already having it and enjoy the stillness. Peace is stillness now, not in the future. While recognizing these things today, I was in the present, in the stillness. We can only be there for such short periods of time, so I want as many moments of that as I can find.
I am not looking for myself any longer, I am here, and soon I will discover, or it will be shown to me, what the purpose of my life really is. I know it is to help others, the way has not been shown to me yet, but it will. Had I not already been awakened by “The Secret,” again, I may have missed this.
The Law of Attraction tells us, what we think about we will attract. The world is full of unhappy people, who, while thinking that they are looking for ways to be happy, find more unhappiness. Recognize the happiness in your life and you will find more happiness. Do not go looking for anything. You already have happiness, be grateful for it first and foremost, and the universe will reward you with joy beyond compare. You can be in“now here”or “nowhere.”
Make a choice to watch it, read it or live it…but at least try it, and remember this:

SNEAKY LITTLE DEVIL!
Funny thing is, it is exactly what I was looking for, who knew?
That is exactly how it works. What you are putting out to the Universe comes to you. I thought I was looking for the solution to a problem I was having and by finding those sites, I realized...I do not have a problem. I have everything I need in my joyous and grateful life. Nothing gives me more pleasure than to help others and the Universe knows that about me.
These people need our help so lets give it to them.
