WE ALL NEED A PAT ON THE BACK SOMETIMES, HERE IS YOURS.

umair shuaib.Image via WikipediaGOOGLE
12-31-08 9:58 P.M.

Here it is two hours before the beginning of a New Year, and although I cannot see all the changes in my life at this moment…one stands out above them all. “I QUIT SMOKING.” It still feels like a miracle to me. It will be 2 years in March 2009. Funny, but every time someone asks me how I did it, I answer with the same response, which is, “I don’t know how I did it, I just know that the thought was already planted in my mind.” They ask what I mean and I respond with, “I gave up trying to quit, and whenever anyone asked me when I was going to quit, I would say, I just want to wake up one day, and never smoke again.” Well, that is exactly how it happened. My doctor at the time, had a sign in his office, and I was a new patient. The sign said “ If you smoke, I will insist that you quit.” I guess I took it seriously and when he gave me the prescription for the lozenges, I had it filled and waited. My Aunt Pat, at the time, was being treated for Cancer, and the first time she went into the hospital I said I was going to quit smoking. Well, that was my last failure, I quit for 3 weeks and then started up again.

The next time my aunt went into the hospital, I didn’t know until I called her home and my Uncle answered. He told me she was in the hospital, so I told him I would go to see her. A few days later I did.
When I rounded the corner and saw her in her room in the Intensive Care Unit, I saw how frail she was and I felt tears well up in my eyes. I took a few steps back and cleared my face before I went into her room. She was happy to see me and she appeared perky, but it looked like it took a lot of energy to stay that way. The visit was short, and on the drive home I made the decision to quit. I still didn’t know when, so I set the date and when the time came, I just woke up the next day and didn’t smoke again. I had no withdrawal or even the desire to smoke again. I smoked 3 and ½ packs of cigarettes a day for many years, including the night before I quit, but it was the easiest thing I ever did. I watched my own sister, who died of heart disease, smoke in her hospital room after one of her heart attacks, and it still wasn’t enough to make me quit. My sister died alone in her apartment and no one knew for 3 days, but I continued to smoke. But that day sitting with my aunt, something happened, I can’t explain it, and I never thought for one second that she was going to pass away, or anything like that, something just hit me when I sat with her that gave me the strength to do it.

So a few months later after I had been not smoking for awhile, I called her and when no one answered I left a message. I said, “Hi, it’s Ann-Marie, and I’m calling for my “pat on the back,” and if you want to know what I mean you’ll have to call me back. It was a couple of days later, and when she asked why I needed a pat on the back. I said, “I have finally quit smoking, it was the easiest thing I ever did, now get of my back, Pat.” We had a good laugh over it, she told me she was proud of me, and it must have done the trick because here it is 2 years later and I’m not smoking. The last day I spent with her before she passed, we talked about how we both used to smoke and how wonderful it was when we were doing Home Demonstration Shows for Princess House. She said, “Remember, we would write up our orders, pack up our kit, carry it to the car, light up a cigarette, and count our money with a big smile on our face, as we drove home.” She was right, they were great times, we both loved our job and we loved doing the shows and the people we did the shows for, our recruits, our meetings and everything about it.

Princess House was only one of the job experiences I have had with sales in my lifetime. I have always held a sales job of some type, either as my full time job or in addition to my full time job. One of the very first things you learn when you are trained in sales is, “fake it til you make it.” Funny thing is, that is how we should all be living our lives. The Law of Attraction teaches us that we attract what we think about. Well, if you are doing the “ole fake it til you make it,” sales technique, you can’t lose. It becomes how you think about everything in your life, and when that happens… your life changes. It can’t NOT change, it has to, because you create your own reality by how you think about the world around you. In other words, you control your own destiny, your own happiness, your own failure or success. That may sound redundant but it’s not, it’s just the simplest way to look at life. You can only change yourself, and when you do, the world around you adjusts to change with you. It has to because you create the vibration and the world responds to your vibration. I’m sure this is not new information you are hearing but maybe it’s a new way for you to hear it, maybe what I am writing here, right now, will be the words that will catapult you into a new existence. This is the day to begin and if what I say here, helps you to do that, then I am truly blessed. I want nothing more than to make a difference in someone’s life, the way my Aunt Pat did for me. So let 2009 be the year that you choose to become who you have always wanted to be. The true you, and be SAFE AND HAPPY AS YOU DO IT. HAPPY NEW YEAR.

The Secret (2006 film)Image via WikipediaGOOGLE.COM
I was reading a post in a thread on Powerful Intentions. A woman posted that she found herself in tears, crying that she was unable to give even something small to a few children. What I saw about her post was beautiful. In the few moments that she was crying...the answer came to her. She remembered that she had a resource she had forgotten about, and she made that resource the way she would both give and receive that year. IN HER TEARS, SHE "ALLOWED."

"The Secret," "The Law of Attraction,"and "The Law of Abundance," all teach us that it is when we "allow" that what we desire, is given to us, or shown to us. It is through our "feelings" that our desire is expressed, and the answer is shown to us, or our desire is received.

I am not saying that when we don't get what we want...we should sit down and cry, and that is not what this woman did. I am saying that in order to receive what we desire, we must feel that it has already been received, or it is already on its way, and so it is, and it shall be. We only have to ask the Universe once for what we desire, it already knows, and we must feel it...already on its way to us, and feel that we are receiving it, and so we will.

I was listening to Joyce Meyer the other day on television; she was talking about how God always answers our prayers, but sometimes the answer is "NO." That made me begin to think in a different way about what and how we ask the Universe. The answers are always there, it is how we listen to, and for them, that they show themselves. We are the only one that can change our life, it is in our own realm of existence to make the necessary changes to our life, to accomplish, or reach the goals we choose. I am going to reach my goals this year, because I am going to listen for, and to, the answers that I am given. I am going to follow the "instincts" that I have always known exist in me, and I will take the time to listen to and find the answers that are being shown to me.

What are your goals for this year? What do you hope to receive? What do you plan to give? These answers are all crucial to reaching our goals, and having what we desire in our life for the coming year. Ask in your prayers or in your communication with the Universe through meditation, to me they are the same. I pray during meditation and I pray to God during prayer. Everything around me is telling me to listen better this year, and that is what I'll be doing...LISTENING.

PULLING OFF THE BAND-AID OF 2008

It's funny how long it takes us to pull all the decorations out, hang the lights, and set up all our little Christmas lawn ornaments. Taking them down though is so fast. Why is that? I went into my house last night and when I came out today, every semblance of Christmas glitter was gone from all the neighboring lawns, except my own. I was still busy in the house tinkering with my new Christmas toys. I told my friends it was like the last scene in a Santa movie where he shows up in town, everyone believes he's real, and when you go back the next day...he's gone. "Yes Virginia, there is a Santa Claus" is a good example of that, but just when she is ready to give up on her Christmas dream...it shows up. The cane being left behind is such a poignant touch. My lawn was like that cane today, all that was left of Christmas was the lawn ornaments I still had up. My little Angel and my Santa Sign were the only visions left behind, and probably tomorrow they will be gone also.

It takes a few days to let the let-down sink in and bring us back to our old selves. To some it's like pulling off a band-aid...really quick. For me, I like to savor the last few days of the year and reflect on what has come into my life, and what new things I expect for the New Year. This is going to be a big year for me...I've made my goals and prayed my prayers, set my plans in motion, and can't wait to see them evolve from the dreams they came in. It took some time, but I never lost hope, and I know that this is the year I reap the rewards of my work.

What kind of plans have you made? Have you set a mission statement for your business or even for your personal life? You can get a little help with it on one of my other blogs MASTER BOOKS Nightingale Conant has one where you can just fill in the blanks and it helps to put all the pieces together. Make it a commitment this year to write one, let it be your New Year's Resolution. It will give you a much better idea of what to expect from yourself by this time next Year. Give it a try.

SANTA IS IN TOWN

GOOGLE
Good thing we got the snow plowed away for Santa to arrive in our neck of the woods today. Here in Norton, Santa is making a stop over at Joe Carlino's house, where he will be handing out presents and finding out what all the children want for Christmas this year. Joe and Santa are great friends, and I'm sure the kids will all enjoy a moment to catch his ear about their holiday wishes.

HELP IMPROVE THE LIVES OF OTHERS

raysImage by (nz)dave via FlickrGOOGLE

Don Imus, the 77WABC Talk Radio Personality, spoke about the Frost Freedom Foundation during his show on December 12, 2008 through Friday December 19, 2008. Imus is aired nationally throughout the United States on over 60 radio and television stations. Together with the Imus Intrepid Fallen Hero's Foundation and the Frost Freedom Foundation WebHost Goldmine LLC is helping our soldiers come home and have the proper medical care as well as finding a profitable business for our men and women who have put their lives on hold for us and our families.

Would you find it in your hearts to take a moment and offer some support for these folks who really need your help today, when they come home to their families for the holidays?

We understand that owning a WebHost Goldmine business may not be for everyone. For some people who "need" this business it can be life saving especially when we have identified Five Target (people) Markets that can benefit from WebHost Goldmine and all of its offerings.

All information can be found at: www.FrostFreedomFoundation.org. If you find it in your heart to assist a less fortunate individual you will be rewarded with blessings that life really isn't all just about the money. We have sacrificed 100's of our family hours just to build a non-profit Foundation to give back to this beautiful business opportunity that has been very rewarding to many peoples lives in so many ways. 100% of your donations goes directly to helping a person get setup.

Our Mission

Our mission is to associate the needs of people with the education and training necessary to allow them to become self sufficient in their own work place.

We believe industry knowledge is not only essential to building the real power of Freedom, it is the Foundation. For this reason, education is our common ground. It solidifies all aspects of the Frost Freedom Foundation's work, from investments in people, education and training to self employment.

Globally people will unite and work together to enhance the economics of their localities. Investing in one's future today will insure a better tomorrow. "Give more in use value than you receive in cash value and you will make the world a better place by every business transaction", Wallace D. Wattles, 1910.

A Means to an End

The WebHost Goldmine Group and the Frost Freedom Foundation support those who really need this opportunity. We have a strict set of guidelines to insure that its recipients are those who have met the criteria to obtain a FREE LIFETIME WHG Membership into this rewarding business opportunity. Most foundations donate to charities who then issue funding for various purposes. Here at the Frost Freedom Foundation the donators know exactly where, what and to whom their monies are being used for. We have a clearly defined starting and ending point which allows the donators to actually track the progress of the Members whom they have personally sponsored. We understand that owning an internet business is not for everyone however this is a vehicle that allows a generous person to help those that are really in need of this service.

Whether WebHost Goldmine is right for you at this moment or not, there are others who could benefit greatly from all of the rewards and really need an opportunity such as ours. We are working with some really great and well known personalities to help raise awareness for FFF's cause. Your help with a donation and/or sharing this with others can really make a difference in the lives of these great people.

We recently replaced the EDC Diamond Group (www.edcdiamondgroup.com) with WebHost Goldmine LLC because WHG is all inclusive and the Frost Freedom Foundation wanted an internet company that offers a much less cost of business ownership and more value for your contributions. This move helped us assist many more deserving people. The Frost Freedom Foundation is always seeking to improve our services while staying current with todays economic factors.

CHRISTMAS IN NORTON

GOOGLE
The lights are up and last week the planets were aligned. Here in the East we were able to see the crescent moon and the two planets (Jupiter and Neptune), looking like a frown face, while Australia got to see a smiley face in their neck of the woods. Thank God the neighbors have all hung their lights and put out their decorations, because I won’t settle for a frowning face in our neck of the woods. My good neighbor Joe has his Christmas Village aligned, so no one at this end of town is looking at the frown face any longer. The week before Christmas, Santa Claus will be visiting Joe’s Christmas Village and the children in this little neck of the woods will be getting some little goodies from Santa. Nothing so significant, as a new video game or game system, but a token to put a simple smile on their faces,. To remind them of the joy of Christmas, and the birth of Jesus. There is a twinkle in Joe’s eye…wonder what he’s up to. It seems he and Santa have a lot in common…I guess we’ll see. The one thing I know for sure, there will be some smiling faces around him this year. And as soon as I can get my computer to release the photos I have taken of his village, I’ll post them here for you.

CHRISTMAS BANNED IN BOSTON

Father Christmas // Santa Claus // Père NoëlImage by Stéfan via FlickrGOOGLE
I was at a friends house a little while ago and they had Channel 524 on Comcast, Traditional Holiday Music. It's actually nice to hear the music in the background, but they have different, dated, memories, and facts about Christmas all over the world from different centuries. I was shocked to learn that Christmas was banned in Boston in 1659-1681. It stood as a law for 22 years. I can't imagine no Christmas, and being a resident of Boston, really hits home. No Christmas when I was growing up would have been unbelievable. Those are the most precious holiday memories to me. I was very young and believed in Santa Claus, and I lived to go to (Jordan Marsh) Macy's in Boston every year to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what I wanted for Christmas. We always got a gift, and I remember how hard it was not to open it on the train ride home.
In my neighborhood this year, we are reviving that tradition. We have all ordered extra special Christmas lighting and gifts for all the kids, and we have the perfect Santa. Our Friend Joe is the man for the job. His lights are already up and his village is booming with Santa, snowmen, reindeer, and every other traditional lawn ornament to get the children in the spirit. Nothing will be turned on until Thanksgiving evening but we will all be ready. A neighborhood of lights and Christmas Spirit. I can't imagine the mind set that came up with the idea to ban Christmas, or anything else that gives our children so much joy and fills the hearts of all with peace and goodwill. But, according to this blog I found, it is true...
Well, not in my neighborhood, this year, because we won't let that happen. The lights are up and we are just waiting to cue the music for the magic to happen.
We should all make this a year to remember. We have a new Presidency and a new new mind set across the country, and possibly the world, so our hearts should render that feeling to whatever extreme makes our children laugh and our neighbors smile. It has been a long time since this country was happy. But I think that my neighbor Joe will be changing that around here this year.

GRATITUDE COMES FIRST BUT ALSO LAST!

GOOGLE
When I was first diagnosed with Agoraphobia, (fear of open spaces) and unable to work, I was able to receive food from my local food bank. My friend was in a similar situation, and we vowed to pay back when things turned around for us. Well, they have not, in the sense that we have a lot of money to provide the services our community is missing. What I noticed was, because I live on the town line, the town to my right was a higher income town and their food bank barrel was filled every time I shopped there, but my own town it is scarce every time. I don't think the people in my town realize how great the need is for this service. Their are a lot of seniors here living off very meager pensions, and still having to pay for their own prescriptions. The food they are able to receive from this bank is the difference, for them, between medication and going without food. I am not doing great but I am hoping when I do the craft fair at the end of this month, I will have extra funds to donate and I will set up a sign and ask for donations from the townspeople that come to the fair. Paying back is a crucial part of gratitude. Gratitude always comes first, but it also comes last. I am making Gratitude Rocks that I will give out at the fair and if people are willing to donate to feed hunger, then that will be a wonderful day for me, and for the members of my community.
I wanted to let you know that THIS IS A is Hunger Action Month! It is a great time for all of us to get involved in the fight against hunger in America. I urge you to visit the Hunger Action Center and help Feeding America make a difference for every American who is food insecure. There are many ways you can get involved, please join us today!

DON'T EVER SAY YOU ARE NOT A ROMANTIC

Image representing The Walt Disney Company as ...Image via CrunchBaseGOOGLE
Don't ever say you are not a romantic until you have seen "ENCHANTED".
I loved the combination of animation and real life characters and here I am sitting at the end of a Disney Movie with tears in my eyes dreaming of true love. Silly? I don't care, it feels wonderful and if you want to dream as I am, then remember, it's no "Secret," but it is a miracle the way it makes you feel. It's a movie for the whole family but i was glad to watch it alone, so I could appreciate the tears I shed from the happiness it has left me with. What a wonderful feeling...true love...I still remember.

PEACEFUL COMPANY MY FAVORITE PLACE

GOOGLE
A few months ago my daughter brought home these amazing sponges that hse ordered for the health club she manages, they were from Peaceful Company.
The sponges are called TWIST European Sponge Cloth #20. I have been using the same sponge for more than 3 months now and I have given some to my friends also. Imagine having a sponge that never smells, stays clean (because you put it in your dishwasher)and it replaces at least 17 rolls of paper towels. If you don't believe me try them out for yourself, then write me a scathing email and I will post it on my website in big letters. I went to the Peaceful website to purchase some new ones and I found this amazing little tool that we can all use.
Every grocery store now sells their own shopping bag, and although I try, every time to remember them, I never seem to, and I end up using plastic or purchasing more eco friendly bags. Well, I found the solution at Peaceful Company, they are called FLIP TUMBLE BAG. It fits directly into your purse when you are done with it, so you always have a shopping bag. It is the perfect solution for when we cannot remember to take those bags with us. We can still help the environment despite our short mind span.
It is a great idea to check out Peaceful Company and Twist Clean for some really environment healthy things we use everyday anyway.

THE SECRET IS OUT!!

The SGR Club.com > Home
Don't keep it to your self anymore...share, spread, live and love "The Secret."
Watch as your life, and those around you, make such dramatic changes. Don't get up another day wondering if you are going to be happy, or wake up trying to be happy....JUST WAKE UP HAPPY. We can teach you how.
I suffered for 4 years with a debilitating mental disorder (agoraphobia) a prisoner of my own mind, until one day I saw the members of "The Secret" the movie, on Oprah. My life changed almost immediately and here I am 5 years later with a story to tell the world, of how I quit smoking, lost 47 lbs and stopped daily drinking.

WHAT WILL YOUR DASH BE?

The Dash
What will be your dash? Mine will be that I loved, as hard as I could, "everyone I met."
My friend, Beverly, right now, is experiencing a fork in the road. Her husband is ill, and even though many in their life that have met her husband Charlie, never understood how they remained married for 40 plus years; I understand why.
Beverly works as a CNA in a nursing home, she cares for people who have had to go to a nursing home for additional care, that hospitals cannot give them. Every year she is awarded a cash prize for being the number 1 CNA in the chain of nursing homes. She is loved, respected, and admired for what she does. And now, she may have to choose that for her husband. Funny thing is, I know that she would never choose to send Charlie to a nursing home, she would take care of him on her own. The doctors and nurses at the hospital, joke with her about how grateful they are when she comes to sit with him because it is the only time he is not cursing or yelling at someone. He is at peace only when she is there. What they don't realize is that she is also at peace, when she sits with him. She misses him at night when she goes to sleep alone, she misses him when she comes home to her empty house, greeted by her cat "Lightening." She misses him and his cursing and yelling because she knows that he is a wonderful man who would do the same thing for her. That is why they have been together for 40 plus years.
So, say a prayer for Charlie to get well, but if he cannot, pray for his love to give her the strength to go on without him.

WATCH WHAT YOU WEAR TO VOTE

US Senator Barack Obama campaigning in New Ham...Image via WikipediaGOOGLE
DO NOT WEAR OBAMA SHIRTS, STICKERS, HATS, ETC.WHEN YOU GO TO VOTE

Please, please, please advise everyone you know that they absolutely can NOT go to the polls wearing any Obama (or whoever you are voting for) shirts, pins, hats, etc. It is AGAINST THE LAW and will be grounds to have the polling officials to turn you away. This is considered campaigning and no one can campaign within X amount of feet of the polls. They are banking on us being overly excited and not being aware of this long standing law that you can bet will be ENFORCED THIS YEAR!!!!!

They are banking that if you are turned away, you will not go home and change your clothes and return to the polls to vote. Please just don't wear ANY gear of any sorts to the polls! Please share this information with as many people as you can. If you are already aware of this, please don't take it as insulting your intelligence.

Have a great day and see you at the polls on November 4th.

WELCOME TO THE MEANING OF LIFE

GOOGLE
FAILURE IS THE DOOR TO SUCCESS. Make your failures the key, not the lock.

It is 2 ½ days until I hit a milestone birthday, and as I sit here watching the movie, “Coco Chanel,” the threaded conversations in my mind have pulled me away to record my thoughts. What a remarkable woman she was. Living to the age of 88 years, she found, early in life, that being yourself at whatever risk, is the meaning of life.

I answered a question the other day, in response to a statement, “God does not want science to be a tool to a longer life.” The absurdity of the statement sent me into a flailing rage of expression. I realized that I was in a classroom situation and held back, re-worded my response to comply with the rules of the University, but in doing so, I did find a gentle way to express myself. The secret, I find, is in how it is expressed, not in what is expressed. Anything can be expressed in the proper mind set. Had I responded in anger, I would have failed to make my opinion count. That is the meaning of life. The cliché, “live life to the fullest,” and the idea that God does not want us to live as long as we possibly can is so redundant. He sacrificed his own child so we could have life and “free will,” and we would deny him respect and gratitude, by not trying to live longer, richer and happier lives? By finding joy, compassion, abundance and generosity in everything we do? How dare we? Well, the truth is that “the secret to life” is in knowing how absurd that statement really is.

If one wakes up everyday feeling unhappy, unfulfilled, unloved, underachieved…or even under the bed, it does not at all matter, because it is not life. Life is waking up everyday, loving life, being joyous, feeling loved, and over achieving in everything we do, anything less, is not God’s will. I know there is going to be a world of people that will find these statements sacrilegious, imperfect, untrue, but those will be the people that do not believe that God wants us to have amazingly beautiful, fulfilled and joyous lives, filled with the abundance of everything we desire. Welcome to MEANING OF LIFE.

HILARY TAKES A BACKSEAT!

GOOGLE
Hilary Rodam Clinton, introduced by her daughter, at the Democratic Convention, was amazing. Her speech was inspiring and I know her hope is that, her supporters will change their votes to support Barak Obama. Not an Obama fan myself, I see her point. By voting for Hilary as a write in, your vote will be lost, and Republican John McCain will only benefit from that. It won't be a vote for the Democrats, which is what we need. For the changes from the past eight years to go in a more positive direction, one that encompasses every American, not just big business and the rich, we must all vote Democratic and that means Obama.

I wonder how the White House Staff will respond, taking a subjective role under his, presumption. I'd like to see Michelle Obama stronger than I have seen her. She appears submissive and I'm not sure that she can find "herself" in the country, especially while raising two very young African American children in America. Having the first African American President may bring some consequence, as response to his blatant narcissism, which has nothing to do with his gender or his race.

I am saddened by Hilary's loss, but I know that many, that never expected her strength, will also be disappointed. I think she gained a great many points from her speech tonight. It is a shame that her supporters (me included), can't find a way to put her back in the driver's seat. So becoming an Obama supporter, although difficult, will be the best choice in this election. I believe his choice for Vice President should be in his favor. Biden's experience with foreign affairs should give the presidency an edge they might not have had.

11 YEAR OLD HERO TO THE HOMELESS

GOOGLE
11-Year-Old Jack Davis' Bill to Help the Homeless is about to Be Signed into Law!

Jack’s Bill, officially titled the "Jack Davis Florida Lending a Helping Hand Bill," which will allow restaurants to give their unused food to the homeless, just passed in the Florida House of Representatives. The next step is for the governor to sign it into law, which should happen in the next few weeks. Once the bill is signed, it should take effect July 1, 2008.

Jack went to Tallahassee and did a lot of lobbying for his bill. While there, Jack was fortunate enough to meet with several legislators and attend several sessions and committee meetings, but the highlight of his trip was a 20-minute meeting with the Governor of Florida, Charlie Crist. The governor had Jack sit in his chair, which Jack told him was "almost" as comfortable as the "Ellen chair.” The governor then promised he would sign Jack’s Bill into law if it reached his desk!

We’ll keep you updated, of course, to let you know how everything turned out, and to find out what great deeds Jack Davis will be pursuing next!

AMERICA DESERVES LEADERSHIP IN EDUCATION!

GOOGLE
AMERICANS DESERVE LEADERSHIP ON EDUCATION

To boost America’s economy we must focus on strengthening K-12 education.

Why? Economists estimate that if America raises student skills closer to that of European nations, the U.S. economy would grow by an additional 5% over 30 years resulting in an extra $1.5 trillion in 2037 alone—more than triple current U.S. spending on K-12 public education.

We have known about Global Warming since the beginning of time, but we spend so much time giving lip service to it,(Talking the Talk, instead of Walking the Walk) and waiting for government officials to fulfill their campaign promises to us every 4 years, yet nothing ever really changes. We have an opportunity now, during an election year, to make a commitment to global change, and we can "ALL" take the time and energy to convince our policy makers to listen to what "we the people want." "We the People," not "We the Government." It is time to level the playing field, take our place among the leaders of OUR country, to force the necessary legislature, and to protect this planet for our children and future generations.

How can we, in good conscience, listen to the speech that Al Gore made on July 17th, and not step up to the plate and walk the walk, instead of just talking the talk? Join me at WE CAN SOLVE IT and move in a positive direction that leads us, if necessary to the steps of the White House. Watch Al Gore's speech and tell me what you think.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH

http://ourgratitude-rosee285.blogspot.com/googlea38ace4ec2d0d8d1.html
ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH

If I have to actually explain what the Law of Attraction is like, I can do it with at least one of a hundred different stories. As I was sitting here tonight in my empty living room, as a result of my affirmation to become “fearless,” I got a phone call from a woman named Kathleen. Kathleen works for a company that helps to relieve your debt, we were having a conversation that related to some paper work she sent me and it was for an account at Rocky Mountain Bank and Trust. Now how often do you think that a “co-incidence” like this would happen. As we were talking, the television was muted, and when I took it off mute, John Denver was singing Rocky Mountain High. Now maybe none of that is significant to anyone but me, but it is like that all day long for me. These little, miraculous, funny moments that make me laugh aloud here, alone, in my living room. If I cared what my neighbors thought, they would probably be thinking I am a looney tune but I don’t care, because having a moment like that just makes my day. “Thank God I’m a Country boy.”

Hummingbirds and The Law of Attraction.

I use the Hummingbird as my logo to depict my faith in "The Law of Attraction." Another example is the Monarch Butterfly. Both of these creatures live The Law of Attraction. They are prime examples of how the Law of Attraction works. If you choose to attract these beautiful creatures to your garden, it must be under very certain conditions. They are attracted to color and to the sweet liquid that we put out for them. If these CONDITIONS do not exist in your garden or near it, then you will not attract Hummingbirds or Monarch Butterflies. I wanted to particularly attract them to mine, so I planted a lot of purple and red flowers, a Trumpet Vine, and a Butterfly Bush for the Monarchs. My neighbor gets more than anyone I have every known, but she plans very carefully and is very consistent with her flowers and the perfect food. Making sure they are always provided for, they continually return. Both creatures are miracles of nature when you think about it. The miraculous thing about them is their size and strength. Monarch Butterflies migrate from great distances every year.

"Each adult butterfly lives only about four to five weeks. But one of the many wonders of the Monarchs is the annual creation of a unique "Methuselah generation." As autumn approaches in their sites of migratory origin, a very special generation of butterflies is born. Unlike their parents, grandparents, great-grandparents, and great-great-grandparents -- all of whom had ephemeral lives measured only in weeks -- these migratory butterflies survive seven or eight months. In human terms, given our average life span of 75 years, this would be like having children who lived to be 525 years old!" THERE IS THE MIRACLE.

The Law of Nature in philosophical terms
states that "a system of right or justice held to be common to all humans and derived from nature rather than from the rules of society, or positive law.

Why Hummingbirds Migrate:
As with most of our migratory birds, hummingbirds apparently evolved to their present forms during the last ice age. They were (and largely still are) tropical birds, but as the great ice sheets retreated from North America, they gradually expanded their ranges to exploit rich temperate food resources and nesting space, filling unoccupied niches in the U.S and southern Canada while evading intense competition in the tropics. Some songbird species have adapted completely to our variable North American climates, in part by becoming vegetarians in winter, and don't migrate. But hummingbirds are carnivores (nectar is just the fuel to power their flycatching activity), and depend on insects that are not abundant in subfreezing weather, so most of them must retreat back "home" to Central America in the winter or risk starvation. AGAIN THE MIRACLE

The Law of Attraction requires the CONDITIONS be right to attract what it is you want in your life. Wanting is not enough, you MUST take action to get what you want and the more consistent the action, and the more consistent the direction...will be what attracts what you want into your life.

So remember:THE SECRET
THOUGHTS DO BECOME THINGS
THERE ARE NO COINCIDENCES
MIRACLES ARE ALL AROUND US
ASK, BELIEVE AND YOU WILL RECEIVE
It all begins with baby steps.

BOB PROCTOR HAS A MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT

It was just about 16 months ago when I heard Bob Proctor speak for the very first time. He was on Oprah with the Masters of the Secret. I was so enthralled with all of them, that from that day forward, everything I did was in connection with "The Secret" and The Law of Attraction. It began with finding the ability to quit smoking after so many times trying to quit, and failing over and over, to waking up one day and never smoking again. Losing 47 pounds with no effort. Quitting a daily drinking routine 10 years old. I had been a prisoner of my own mind for over 4 years, stricken with Agoraphobia (fear of open spaces. I used "The Secret" the movie obsessively for months as those things were transpiring around me AND HELPED ME RELEASE THE FEAR THAT WAS KEEPING ME TRAPPED.. The first time I was able to leave my home and go for a simple walk, I did it with tears in my eyes and feeling such joy, it is unexplainable. I watched the movie over and over, I wrote every word that was spoken by pausing my tv and writing down the words. When there were no other options, I turned the captions on and watched it that way. I inhaled it, and it changed my life.

In the movie Bob Proctor is shown with a key spinning in the foreground every time he speaks, I always interpreted that to mean he was the holder of the key to success, and if you have ever heard him speak you would believe that also. Well, Bob Proctor is making a major announcement on Thursday July 17, 2008 at 9:00 am EST, and it WILL LAST 5 DAYS. MISSING THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE VERY DISAPPOINTING TO YOU, SO DON'T MISS IT...MAKE A NOTE...NOW AND BE READY AT 9:00am EST ON JULY 17, 2008 FOR HIS ANNOUNCEMENT.

WHERE IS THE PATH TO CHANGE?

I was just visiting my friend Jean, and we were walking through her garden. I love to see what is new there because Jean has so many perennials, so that everyday, there is something new shooting up out of the ground. There are always Hummingbirds circling her feeders, and flowers in her front garden. In the back garden, where the shade is just right for so many more delicate plants, there is a plant called “Jack in The Pulpit”. As we were walking, she explained to me that there is a male and female “Jack in the Pulpit.” I asked her how one can tell the difference and she said “The female grows 2 stems and the male only has one, but sometimes the male grows another stem and becomes a female.” This ran through my head as she was explaining that to me:

“Imagine that…. the Universe allows the pure, beauty of nature ,and simply accepts the change of gender to a plant, but when it comes to humans, society expects that all people should remain the gender they were born with and never change, no matter how disconnected they feel from others on the planet. We know nothing about what takes place in the mind of another human, we know nothing about the comfort or ill at ease of another, unless that person tells us. And when they do, we should not judge their choice to be who they truly are inside and out. Tolerance, acceptance, and love should be what humans offer to one another…no matter…..

Nature is trying to tell us that change is natural, and we accept that blindly, but human change is not natural? Really, is that the message we want to share with the world? Not me, I want the world of humans to accept others blindly as we do with our faith in God and in “Nature.” This will give every person the freedom to be “exactly” who “they” choose to “be” or “are.” This is the lesson of Nature, we should accept that this is how things are, accept it and move on. It should never be our place to judge another based on our own beliefs, and we should remember that, “it is not our business what others think of us,” Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth: Awakening to your Life’s Purpose. Why should it be our business what we think of others? "Thoughts become Things," Mike Dooley, "Change Your mind and Change your Life." Wayne Dyer.

We should all focus on our purpose in this “blessing” called life. Deepak Chopra, has released a book called “The Path To Joy,” where he tells us that “We can change our lives-and-our business for the better if we change our focus.” What are you focusing on today? Yes, I really do want to know!

SMARLINKS NO BLOG SHOULD BE WITHOUT ONE

TinyURLImage via WikipediaI put this little blue link on my blog yesterday. Funny...I have a lot of little widgets on my blogs but none does what SmartLinks does. I wrote my blog today and when I went back to my address bar the widget had turned into a little notebook with a list of places I could immediately review my blog on. I mean instantly.....It will connect you to Del.ici.ous, Tiny Url,Similar pages on goggle, similar sites on google, open my things, open options, make a widget, and the help button is right there also.
Not one of the other widgets on my blog does that. Click on the SmartLinks widget and see for yourself. If you are a blogger, or internet marketer, you'll be saving yourself so much time you might even get a day off, if you work from home in your pajamas like I do.

FOCUS...FOCUS...FOCUS.

Paper tape relay operation at FAA's Honolulu flight service station in 1964Image via WikipediaSome days I am just so mesmerized by the constantly changing technology of the internet. I think...."what would I be doing if it wasn't here.?" I'm sure there would be another way of communicating or working that I would find, but I doubt it would intrigue me as much as the internet does.
I remember my first job in high school, I worked for an auto supply store and they had one of the first computers I had ever seen. It was enormous and I would punch tape that they would load onto the massive systems. I wasn't chosen to be trained to run the computer, which was their loss because ever since I owned my first computer, I was glued to the possibilities daily. The simplicity of communication, research, school work for the kids. I did more book reports and projects for my kids homework, than I ever did in high school and college combined. It is truly fascinating, but all new technology has always been to me. When VCR's came out I was not afraid to open it up and take out the tape that was stuck in there. I was lucky enough to work for a man that charged people $50.00 to do that, but I saw him do it and it became a new talent for me. It was the same with the computer, I was never intimidated by it as a machine. I learned early on how to open it (warranties be damned) and add ram or clean out the dust. I think that we are all born with many talents and this just happens to be one for me. i can add a long list of figures but have no knack for Algebra, I can take a machine apart but I can't make money doing it. I know that my fascination with the internet is a gift and I use it every day, but it is no place, to me, that is easy to focus on. I am so distracted and intrigued by the immenseness of it. It is, and I believe, always will be the fastest, easiest way to reach the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time. It is pure genius. Tomorrow, I will focus, today I enjoyed.

TAKE A RIDE ON A NEW PLANE!

Mona Lisa SmileImage via WikipediaI was lazing around today, recovering from what I hope was, a mild flu, when "Mona Lisa Smiles" came on (with Julia Roberts) and I heard this: "don't air your dirty laundry in public." Well, PTSD welcome home. It's amazing to me that simple things I hear externally, can impact me so deeply. Although I have dissected the experiences, the scars, somehow, still remain. The blessing in the experience, because there always is one, is that now...when I hear something like that, and it triggers an emotion; I have developed the skills to leave it external. And that is the real trigger, the new external experience ops the past. I no longer have to take things apart and dissect them, because I have stopped stuffing them down. I listen "within" and that now keeps the wolves at bay.

What an amazing perception that is for me. To see the past as exactly that....THE PAST.... and nothing more. I would never have gotten here without the tools I have experienced in the past 14 months. "The Secret, The Law of Attraction, Powerful
Intentions,"A New Earth" Awakening to your Life's Purpose," "Think and Grow Rich" and numerous other wonderful resources that we forget even exist when we are "without."

THE LIGHT IS ALWAYS ON!

The Seagull at SunsetImage from FlickrI just saw this You Tube video with Wayne Dyer and it reminded me of a blog I wrote awhile back. In this video he talks about the light inside and the light outside. All we have to do is "acknowledge" that it is outside and once you recognize it....it is gone. Look "within" for the answers. Check out Wayne Dyer on You Tube.

THE BODY KNOWS A LANGUAGE

Forget What's BehindImage by D LeRoy via Flickr“The body knows a language the mind never wholly masters.”
Brenda Miller

Brenda Miller is a Professional Coach and a Spiritual Teacher. I received this quote in my email this morning from Oprah’s Mission Statement Newsletter.
To experience Radical Forgiveness is to open yourself to a new way of looking at your world.
To experience Radical Forgiveness is to heal your life!
Radical Forgiveness Coaching assists you to achieve inner peace by helping you to release all those old victim stories and self-destructive patterns that have kept you out of joy, stolen your life, and blocked your abundance. And it's done in a way that is safe, quick, and therapeutically non-invasive.

When I read that quote it brought back the messages I have been hearing about forgiveness lately. I wrote a few posts on my blog about it awhile back and it still resonates around me. Believing that I had forgiven many people and myself for things that I carried with me for years, I find that there are more. When you wake up as I do everyday, beginning with gratitude and right on to the motivational speech I give myself each morning, and you believe that you have forgiven all….there it is… clearly resonating in a pain somewhere in the body, sometimes the head, the back, a shoulder, and often the neck. All these places that I had always believed were signs of stress, I realize now that they are actually more leftover emotional baggage that I am still carrying. Hoping each time that you make a discovery about yourself, that it is the last one, is truly a futile practice. So I turned it around today…now they are blessings. When I looked back and realized in the past week or so, that I recognized mistakes that way, and how easily it translates for forgiveness…it was clear. I’m not sure that is the point that Brenda Miller was trying to make with her quote…that is what I perceived from it, and I am grateful to her for that….“It is always a blessing to find the purpose of pain.”
