"We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with."

My post yesterday talked about how, after reading a comment a woman made on a

NAMI blog, set my mind to reeling. Well, it did not stop there. It seems that this one discovery had led me down a path, not by my own choosing but on the path anyway. The attempt to shake my faith failed, and I am here to tell you that that is how fleeting moments are, and how powerful they can be. The devil slides in whenever he can and tries to take our faith from us. He is constantly trying to break our faith to satisfy him/herself. I was happy to read this today that led me back to the path I belong on.

"We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body ruled by sin might be done away with." Roman 6:6

I was barely a glimmer in God's eye, yet part of his plan long before I was born. We were all there on the cross in Christ's heart. This is explained in Roman 5 12:21. Here Paul explains that we were all subject to death through Adam, so we can all receive the gift of  new life through Christ.

"There is still sin in us, but it is no longer my master. Jesus is." When he died and rose, so did we, and that reality changes everything.

Whatever is happening in our life, even when we sin, we must all remember that Christ has already taken our sin, not that that is an excuse to sin, because it is not. But staying on a holy path each day may be a struggle, but to be worthy we  commit to try, EVERYDAY.

Lord, Help us to believe in the transforming power of the resurrection in our own life.

I have completed a cookbook project with my family.  We have compiled our family recipes into a cookbook along with some family memories and inspirational stories.  All of the proceeds from the sale of the book are being donated to The American Cancer Society, The American Heart Association, and Autism Speaks.  You can find the book in my Etsy store at Pogo2go’s Shop.

I hope you will all enjoy the recipes and share your traveling changes with me.

MUSIC AND HUMOR HEALS

Image via Wikipedia

GOOGLE
I was watching The Bonnie Hunt Show this morning, (avoiding writing a persuasive essay for ENG COMP), and she had Kevin Bacon and his brother on. I was so enthralled with the charity project they are a part of. It is called Musicians On Call.
They, and many other musicians, go to different hospitals and play for patients. I started to think about the amazing effect that must create and my "goofing off" turned into the a "purpose." Which means, my essay will be about how music and humor heal. Sometimes it is possible that people will heal even faster from music and humor; than they do from medicine and medical care, not to advocate against medical care, because it will always be a crucial element in healing, and in most cases, of course, the first step.

So there are two lessons that I learned today:
1. Even goofing off has purpose. (finding the topic of my essay)
2. Music and humor are amazing medical finds in healing care.
I love my life.

TALK ABOUT GOING GREEN

I was doing a google search for pushy Kristine again, and I ran across this guy. We were actually looking for retro nostalgia for a party she is going to. She is trying to collect nostalgia from the 60's and we found a site that was what she needed and then I ran across the Texas County Reporter and this You Tube video of Dan Phillips. What a guy, he is. He builds these really strange houses for people who cannot afford regular priced homes. He builds them out of recycled parts from all kinds of scrap yards and companies. The things that manufacturers throw away, he picks up and makes use of it. How about a mirror he made from mirror shards or windows from relish plates. This guy has taken BUILDING GREEN to a new level. I love him. Check him out.
