The Secret Scrolls - From The Secret Daily Teachings

Secret Scrolls Newsletter Logo

A Secret Scrolls message from Rhonda Byrne
Creator of The Secret

From The Secret Daily Teachings
Good is underneath every single thing that appears to be negative. If we can know that good is all there is, including in a negative situation, then we will see a negative situation transform into all good. Most people keep the good away from themselves because they label something as bad, and then, of course, that becomes their reality. But there is no bad in the Universe; it is just our inability to see things clearly from the bigger perspective.
Peace comes from knowing that good is all that exists.
May the joy be with you,

Rhonda Byrne

Such Unexpected Ways

GOOGLE

Things come to us in such unexpected ways. I was watching a sitcom on television and I caught one of the "vanity cards" that Chuck Lorre puts on the last screen shot of the credits. The show is "The Big Bang Theory," but he puts them on other shows he writes for as well. Anyway, I Googled the vanity card #248 and found a wonderful blog because of that search. The blog is called "So Much More Than a Mom," and I found some really great content on there about living with a narcissist, which is why I have PTSD. The remnants of a father and a second husband, both narcissists. I still find it hard to believe that so many are still fooled by narcissists, but they are. I know a couple of women that should be taking steps to protect their children from this kind of mental abuse but are totally unaware that it exists, and telling them only sends them further away from real help.
I also found a great charity on that same blog. The charity is called "First Book," and it is a great idea to provide books for children that do not have them. I have always considered books great gift giving and in my family we always start with "The Giving Tree." We take things like books for granted and being reminded how valuable they are is great. Be sure to take a look at the blog.

SIMPLE...REALLY SIMPLE.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - OCTOBER 9: Actor Jason Pr...Image by Getty Images via DaylifeGOOGLE
There is, in everyday, a small miracle or blessing. I feel sad for those that let things get in their way from seeing and hearing those experiences. I can be watching television or a movie, reading a book, or talking to a friend when I hear and see these things, and I am grateful for each of them everyday.

Today I was watching a movie on television, with Cheech Marin as a priest in Mexico. I love him, and the "versatility" of his movie roles. I am a product of the 60s after all. The small town was preparing a yearly festival that was based on a past miracle and the town held the festival yearly, to revere the saint that granted the miracle. While having a practice run of the highlight of the event the device breaks and a pig falls from the device. (This is when pigs fly). Anyway after the device breaks the townspeople are beginning to lose hope and Cheech Marin, in a conversation with Jason Priestly, one of the stars of the movie, who happens to be an engineer, says this"
"First do what is necessary, then do what is possible and suddenly you will be doing the impossible. Some people blame themselves for things they cannot do or the disappointment of others, or their own failures, but in their distress they forget that God does not expect us to be successful...only faithful. We must remember this, when doing the necessary, seems impossible. From the sorrow some strength will come."

Now how simple is that, right? I thin k others just watch movies that have a message like that and actually feel or receive no impact from it. I, on the other hand, cannot help but be influenced by those words and the affect they can have on our lives. Why would anyone not want to feel that way everyday? I don't have the answer to that, I'm just putting it out there, but if you have an answer to it, I would really like to hear it, please.

Well, those are my words of wisdom for today. See what happens when your whole day is changed because of the weather? If it did not snow today, I would not have heard those words. Simple...really simple.

97 Million Vote for American Idol

"We don't see things as they are;
we see things as we are."

Anais Nin

It is the simplest collection of words, put together, from “within” and yet it is a true statement. We only perceive what is around us. No one can prove to us whether or not it is there. It is our perception…and an individual’s perception of reality is just that…”an individuals perception.” They can never be the same, your perception or mine. They both come from different places. Every once in awhile though, it appears that they come from the same place. That is how people are able to form relationships…built on love and trust. It is through belief of their perception that binds them. It is that moment when…words are exchanged…a look passes from one to the other….a smile forms and love begins. From within.

It is through our own perception that we make decisions that others disagree with or misunderstand and react to. What if it was possible to speak and just receive…”I see”?
It actually is but most people are not willing to take the time to make a decision to be like that. Or they do not believe that anything will change if they do that. Or they think that they are always right. I find the latter to be the most common. Most of “us” (I do have to include myself) believe we are right over others on most occasions, it is only through a long standing pact with themselves that they commit to make the change necessary to not always try to be right. None of it has to do with education or experience, it has to do with perception. I will always see things differently. Even when you choose to commit to the action (or non reaction) you still realize how often or how hard it was and is. When you release the idea that “you must always be right”, you release the reaction, thus peace.

Imagine this on a Global Level. I know for a fact that it is being adapted from a lot of sources, Oprah, Tolle, Wayne Dyer and numerous others, but why is it still so hard for so many to not want to have peace? This is staggering to me....97 million people during the course of the last showing of “American Idol” took the time to make a call and vote for the person they chose as the next “American Idol.” American Idol…what in the name of the Universe does it have to do with anything? One more way to make one more person rich and famous? Why is rich and famous more important than peace, poverty or homelessness? 97 million people and I hope this reaches just 1 million of them in some shape or form because the enormity of that is staggering.

I will say this again, what did Wayne Dyer quote the dalai lama saying “ if every child in the world, from the age of 5 years and up, was taught to meditate JUST 1 HOUR PER WEEK, on just compassion....in one generation, we could end all violence and the prospect of war forever on our planet....Just 1 hour per week....just on compassion. How many of the 97 million people (who called to vote for the next American Idol) do you think would even consider that possibility? 97 million people took the time to make a phone call to vote for The Next American Idol, and yet we still have war ANYWHERE IN OUR WORLD. We still have people sleeping on park benches and doorways. Children going to bed every night without food or shelter. Unbelievable to me.
If you have an opinion about this, please comment on my blog today and if you agree or disagree would you make a commitment to yourself to tell at least one other person about this post. Just 1 other person, and ask them to come and make a comment and have them tell another person. I expect there are 97 million people in the world that have the time. And when they do we will have enough power to change the world....POWER TO CHANGE THE WORLD...IMAGINE...THAT YOUR VOTE REALLY WOULD COUNT AND COMMENT ON THIS POST. Let's see if we can begin one small step in that direction.

WHEN YOU SEE WHERE YOU ARE GOING YOU ARE ALREADY THERE!

“Never let yesterday's disappointments overshadow tomorrow's dreams.”
Unknown

I have always known that there is a blessing in every experience, I just have not always known while I am in the experience. In a conversation with my friend Michele the other day we realized that there has to be another way to look at our experiences while they are actually happening, not just in hindsight. But if you can see the experience and recognize everything about it, even seeing it in hindsight is a blessing.

Experiences only have to be acknowledged to be in the presence that is always around us.

THE FIRST DAY !

As a huge fan of affirmations and quotes, I seem to run across two or three everyday and sometimes there are several that actually show me the direction my day will take.

"There is nothing we like to see so much as the gleam of pleasure in a person's
eye when he feels that we have sympathized with him, understood him At these
moments something fine and spiritual passes between two friends. These are the
moments worth living."

Don Marquis

From Oprah’s mission Statement Newsletter 04-03-2008

"Believe in yourself and there will come a day when others will have no choice but to believe with you."

Cynthia Kersey

Today I am beginning a new project. A project out of love for a friend to reward a woman who has been a nurse her entire adult life. Funny thing, I have never met her, but I know her already. I have her photos in my living room which I am about to through to create a video of her life, as she celebrates her retirement with her family and friends. She has received many awards during her life of service to others, and she should be given the respect and admiration that a life like hers deserves. And I will create and complete this project with that in ">mind.

We each go through our lives, doing what we do, because of who we are. There are some that are rich and powerful because they have been born into money, there are some that use entrepreneurial skills to create a huge empire, there are those that work a physically laboring job everyday, and some that work at home raising children and providing a haven for their families. We all have some manner of purpose in our daily life. I think that people that dedicate their lives to the service of others, deserve accolade upon accolade when that job is done. This woman truly deserves that and I will try my best to put that into this project, so she knows how thankful the world is for people like her.

Putting gratitude into a project first, is assurance that the task will be completed, and the ways will be shown to do them. As I shuffle through this woman’s life through her picture and memorabilia a way will be shown.

There is no task impossible, there is a path through any door, it just always starts with gratitude and baby steps. Fear of trying will be just that….FEAR. Fear does not exist when you create from within. Quiet your mind and the ways will approach. Open your mind and you will hear the directions.

Please remember that this is Autism Awareness Month and there is a project going to awaken the world to the need for services and recognition for this topic. Join these incredible moms and others, to hit this ball out of the park. (No, I am not a fan of baseball, I just do not always know where these words come from, I am just the vessel that are delivered in.)

Make a choice to watch it, read it or live it…but at least try it, and remember this:
THE SECRET

Thoughts do become things.
There are no coincidences.
Miracles are all around us.
Ask, Believe and you will receive.
It all begins with baby steps.
