When we tug on a single thing in nature we find it attached to everything else

I wonder what my next thought will be?Image by dannie4852 via FlickrGOOGLE
"When we tug on a single thing in nature we find it attached to everything else." ~ John Muir
John Muir was an American naturalist, and the founder of The Sierra Club and as an activist saved many national treasures. But what does he have to do with my thinking today? So many things.
My thinking today is a mixed bag of conflicting premises that keep coming at me for a reason, and I think it is because I am at a crossroad. I am at a place where my awakening from this mental illness, (Agoraphobia) is trying to find the place it will create the most from.
As I have said in previous posts, there is a place in recovery where one sees that everything is connected. It is on the way up from the darkest place one can get to, in my case the depth of depression. Creativity emerges at this place, and the direction one takes with this creation (in "my" mind) will determine what the creation will be for, or who will benefit from it. The idea that everything is connected is not a new concept by any means but the development of the concept changes with every person, therefore you see my dilemma this day.
For the last few days I have been coming at it from a religious aspect, and I choose to continue in that direction, but the very first conflict in my day came to me as I went to the NAMI blog and saw a comment by a woman who says that her awakening has led her to believe that she is God, and that there is no basis for religion at all because she controls her own life, and I was immediately daunted by her caliber of education.  She is a lawyer, so she has had a good education and is knowledgeable, and I should think of her as a reputable source. But how can I?  My confusion did not stop there, I began to doubt my own beliefs and thoughts, and then suddenly I realized that I was coming from "ego." Thank you God, for pointing that out to me, because had I stayed to try to dissect her comments I would have been lost in trying to compete with her and that comes from "ego," which can totally destroy my own credibility.
Well, naturally as one that believes "we are responsible for our own reality," this whole diatribe sent me through a loop. I have been confused and dazed since reading her post. I at first tried to respond to her post, but could not find a way to speak without judgment, and felt it was not my place to correct her. Yet, she sits in my mind. Her thoughts came from the idea that we are one with God, but to conclude that she is God is so unsettling for me. She in so many words also said that we are in rapture now. I remember being in that place at one time, because mental illness can lead you into a conflict with good and evil, and when you are there, trying to rationalize, is not possible, because it is coming from the disease of the mind; and giving control to the disease leads to this place that locks your thoughts in such a convoluted place. I am praying for this woman tonight, although I cannot recall where she is and my internet history shows no record of her, but I will pray for her nameless as she is to me, and I will pray that others are not lost in her post also. I will also pray that God will show me the necessary tools to share this in a way that helps others not to go to where she is, and that is not to say that I am right and she is wrong, but we are in the middle of a huge message from God right now and the more confusing it becomes the more that will lost by this tumultuous disaster in Japan and fewer will see that it is a sign that God is telling us to be aware. Just a sign, not the return, not the rapture, not the end as he has predicted. I am sad that she believes that this is how she will live from now on. But, of course, I own that, not her.
Anyway, the beginning of my post was sent to me tonight in a post by a friend whose judgment I trust and whose guidance has lifted me from this confusion, and I am filled with gratitude to have such people in my life, Thank you, Dave.

Psalm 28:7 The Lord strengthens and protects me; I trust in him with all my heart. I am rescued and my heart is full of joy; I will sing to him in gratitude.

Attitudes Truly are Contagious, so ask yourself one Question. Is mine worth catching?

Google
"Love doesn't make the world go round. Love is what makes the world worthwhile."
Carrying sad and painful memories of the past is what creates pain body. Living in the NOW is not easy, but it is so worthwhile. Carrying grudges, sad memories of the past, and trauma; keep one from living in the PRESENT. Clear your mind everyday of these thoughts and live LOVING the PRESENT. Living the present is what we are meant to do. God tells us to live in the image of him, and that includes our thoughts. It is just as sinful to hang on to past angry thoughts, as it is to covet our neighbors goods. Letting go of the things we left behind and taking only the lessons we have learned from them, releases us from pain body.
Going to the gym everyday, eating healthy, and losing weight will not do as much for us as letting go of the the things that make us victims in our own lives. Hanging on to the past makes us victims in the present, letting go of the past makes us healthy and happy in TODAY. Choose the PRESENT and be in optimal health, so when success comes to us we are ready for it!

GOOGLE
I sat at my computer first thing this morning, avoiding my Algebra homework, as usual, and found an invitation to what looks like a network for women with aspirations and ideas that will be part of the world as it changes. I hope it is something you will all join me in. Take a look at the influential and powerful women that have joined and see yourself that way. When you do...join, at least as a FREE member and begin a new journey to discovering the power within you. See you on the other side.

Everyday between 3:00 am and 4:00 am, 5 days per week, I know, with certainty, that there will be a message in my email box that will launch my day. Mike Dooley has a gift that is unexplainable and right on every time. He has changed the whole look on Tut's Adventure Club and if you are looking for the gift that expresses "exactly" how you feel about someone...go there:

PRESENCE

Cover of "Power of Now"Cover of Power of Now

GOOGLE
I’m reading the “Power of Now,” by Eckhart Tolle, and this morning I was reading Chapter five where he is talking about The State of Presence and he suggests that one should try a little experiment. “Close your eyes and say to yourself: “I wonder what my next thought will be?” Then be very alert and wait for the next thought. Be like a cat watching a mouse hole. What thought is going to come out of the mouse hole?” and he suggests to try it now. So as I was on my walk tonight with Willie Nelson playing in my ears, I remembered the thought, so I let it run through my mind and in the next instance, I turned my head to the left and out of nothing, and nowhere there was a tiny, perfect white flower. I couldn’t help but laugh out loud. How beautiful. The best part is that I got to experience PRESENCE as he describes it in Chapter 5, and the reward was so beautiful, one tiny little white flower out of nowhere standing there just waiting for my mind to quiet enough to notice it. You can be sure my neighbors are thinking I’m crazy now (not that I care), but here I am doing my power walk laughing right out loud. It was beautiful, absolutely beautiful. It’s not like I have never seen anything like that before, but in PRESENCE it is just so alive.

Earlier in the day I was sitting with my friend Beverly and a yellow butterfly skimmed past us. She said “Hi, Vi.” and then explained to me that that is how her sister Violet comes to her,” and then she asked me if I had seen the Oriole this morning and I had so say no, I missed it. I then asked her if she had seen the Cardinal that had been around lately because I believe that is how my sister comes to me. Five minutes later, I was at the laundromat at the front of our complex and when I parked the car, the cardinal flew right past me, and I said, Hi Judi.”

Life is so amazing when you open your mind and eyes to the beauty that surrounds us every minute of everyday. Try Tolle’s experiment and see what you come up with. I hope you experience is as wonderful as mine was.

SIMPLE...REALLY SIMPLE.

BEVERLY HILLS, CA - OCTOBER 9: Actor Jason Pr...Image by Getty Images via DaylifeGOOGLE
There is, in everyday, a small miracle or blessing. I feel sad for those that let things get in their way from seeing and hearing those experiences. I can be watching television or a movie, reading a book, or talking to a friend when I hear and see these things, and I am grateful for each of them everyday.

Today I was watching a movie on television, with Cheech Marin as a priest in Mexico. I love him, and the "versatility" of his movie roles. I am a product of the 60s after all. The small town was preparing a yearly festival that was based on a past miracle and the town held the festival yearly, to revere the saint that granted the miracle. While having a practice run of the highlight of the event the device breaks and a pig falls from the device. (This is when pigs fly). Anyway after the device breaks the townspeople are beginning to lose hope and Cheech Marin, in a conversation with Jason Priestly, one of the stars of the movie, who happens to be an engineer, says this"
"First do what is necessary, then do what is possible and suddenly you will be doing the impossible. Some people blame themselves for things they cannot do or the disappointment of others, or their own failures, but in their distress they forget that God does not expect us to be successful...only faithful. We must remember this, when doing the necessary, seems impossible. From the sorrow some strength will come."

Now how simple is that, right? I thin k others just watch movies that have a message like that and actually feel or receive no impact from it. I, on the other hand, cannot help but be influenced by those words and the affect they can have on our lives. Why would anyone not want to feel that way everyday? I don't have the answer to that, I'm just putting it out there, but if you have an answer to it, I would really like to hear it, please.

Well, those are my words of wisdom for today. See what happens when your whole day is changed because of the weather? If it did not snow today, I would not have heard those words. Simple...really simple.

HELP IMPROVE THE LIVES OF OTHERS

raysImage by (nz)dave via FlickrGOOGLE

Don Imus, the 77WABC Talk Radio Personality, spoke about the Frost Freedom Foundation during his show on December 12, 2008 through Friday December 19, 2008. Imus is aired nationally throughout the United States on over 60 radio and television stations. Together with the Imus Intrepid Fallen Hero's Foundation and the Frost Freedom Foundation WebHost Goldmine LLC is helping our soldiers come home and have the proper medical care as well as finding a profitable business for our men and women who have put their lives on hold for us and our families.

Would you find it in your hearts to take a moment and offer some support for these folks who really need your help today, when they come home to their families for the holidays?

We understand that owning a WebHost Goldmine business may not be for everyone. For some people who "need" this business it can be life saving especially when we have identified Five Target (people) Markets that can benefit from WebHost Goldmine and all of its offerings.

All information can be found at: www.FrostFreedomFoundation.org. If you find it in your heart to assist a less fortunate individual you will be rewarded with blessings that life really isn't all just about the money. We have sacrificed 100's of our family hours just to build a non-profit Foundation to give back to this beautiful business opportunity that has been very rewarding to many peoples lives in so many ways. 100% of your donations goes directly to helping a person get setup.

Our Mission

Our mission is to associate the needs of people with the education and training necessary to allow them to become self sufficient in their own work place.

We believe industry knowledge is not only essential to building the real power of Freedom, it is the Foundation. For this reason, education is our common ground. It solidifies all aspects of the Frost Freedom Foundation's work, from investments in people, education and training to self employment.

Globally people will unite and work together to enhance the economics of their localities. Investing in one's future today will insure a better tomorrow. "Give more in use value than you receive in cash value and you will make the world a better place by every business transaction", Wallace D. Wattles, 1910.

A Means to an End

The WebHost Goldmine Group and the Frost Freedom Foundation support those who really need this opportunity. We have a strict set of guidelines to insure that its recipients are those who have met the criteria to obtain a FREE LIFETIME WHG Membership into this rewarding business opportunity. Most foundations donate to charities who then issue funding for various purposes. Here at the Frost Freedom Foundation the donators know exactly where, what and to whom their monies are being used for. We have a clearly defined starting and ending point which allows the donators to actually track the progress of the Members whom they have personally sponsored. We understand that owning an internet business is not for everyone however this is a vehicle that allows a generous person to help those that are really in need of this service.

Whether WebHost Goldmine is right for you at this moment or not, there are others who could benefit greatly from all of the rewards and really need an opportunity such as ours. We are working with some really great and well known personalities to help raise awareness for FFF's cause. Your help with a donation and/or sharing this with others can really make a difference in the lives of these great people.

We recently replaced the EDC Diamond Group (www.edcdiamondgroup.com) with WebHost Goldmine LLC because WHG is all inclusive and the Frost Freedom Foundation wanted an internet company that offers a much less cost of business ownership and more value for your contributions. This move helped us assist many more deserving people. The Frost Freedom Foundation is always seeking to improve our services while staying current with todays economic factors.

WATCH WHAT YOU WEAR TO VOTE

US Senator Barack Obama campaigning in New Ham...Image via WikipediaGOOGLE
DO NOT WEAR OBAMA SHIRTS, STICKERS, HATS, ETC.WHEN YOU GO TO VOTE

Please, please, please advise everyone you know that they absolutely can NOT go to the polls wearing any Obama (or whoever you are voting for) shirts, pins, hats, etc. It is AGAINST THE LAW and will be grounds to have the polling officials to turn you away. This is considered campaigning and no one can campaign within X amount of feet of the polls. They are banking on us being overly excited and not being aware of this long standing law that you can bet will be ENFORCED THIS YEAR!!!!!

They are banking that if you are turned away, you will not go home and change your clothes and return to the polls to vote. Please just don't wear ANY gear of any sorts to the polls! Please share this information with as many people as you can. If you are already aware of this, please don't take it as insulting your intelligence.

Have a great day and see you at the polls on November 4th.

FOCUS...FOCUS...FOCUS.

Paper tape relay operation at FAA's Honolulu flight service station in 1964Image via WikipediaSome days I am just so mesmerized by the constantly changing technology of the internet. I think...."what would I be doing if it wasn't here.?" I'm sure there would be another way of communicating or working that I would find, but I doubt it would intrigue me as much as the internet does.
I remember my first job in high school, I worked for an auto supply store and they had one of the first computers I had ever seen. It was enormous and I would punch tape that they would load onto the massive systems. I wasn't chosen to be trained to run the computer, which was their loss because ever since I owned my first computer, I was glued to the possibilities daily. The simplicity of communication, research, school work for the kids. I did more book reports and projects for my kids homework, than I ever did in high school and college combined. It is truly fascinating, but all new technology has always been to me. When VCR's came out I was not afraid to open it up and take out the tape that was stuck in there. I was lucky enough to work for a man that charged people $50.00 to do that, but I saw him do it and it became a new talent for me. It was the same with the computer, I was never intimidated by it as a machine. I learned early on how to open it (warranties be damned) and add ram or clean out the dust. I think that we are all born with many talents and this just happens to be one for me. i can add a long list of figures but have no knack for Algebra, I can take a machine apart but I can't make money doing it. I know that my fascination with the internet is a gift and I use it every day, but it is no place, to me, that is easy to focus on. I am so distracted and intrigued by the immenseness of it. It is, and I believe, always will be the fastest, easiest way to reach the greatest number of people in the shortest amount of time. It is pure genius. Tomorrow, I will focus, today I enjoyed.

GOD WANTS US TO FAIL....FIRST!

Image via WikipediaOver the weekend my friend James and I were discussing failure and how we know we are better people as a result of our failures. We talked about how we know that God wants us to fail, so we can learn from our mistakes, and how he carries us through the hard times. (Footprints). His father taught him that, I learned from my own mistakes that mistakes are good lessons. My father's lesson to me came in the form of abuse but also in these words. "Be a leader...Not a follower", he also said "It's all in your head." He was absolutely right on both counts.
I was reminded of this conversation with my friend James by an email I got this morning from Dean Hunt, on his blog he discusses "Failing Upward" He has a video on there that makes it all so clear. So stop by Dean's blog today and pick up some info on how to fail...but check out all the ways to succeed also. He has a wealth of successful resources.

THINGS ARE NEVER WHAT THEY APPEAR TO BE!

Logo of the United States Senate, used on the senate.gov website since January 2006 and also in some online publications prior to that.Image via WikipediaThings are never what you think they will be! I have been anticipating this oral surgery and "worrying" about how bad it would be. Funny thing is, it's done, and it was nothing even close to where I let my mind go before the procedure. The only think I know to be true, is the image I had in my mind, about how I would feel about how I looked. That much is true.

Think back to the last person you saw that had no teeth...yeah, nice thought huh? Well, welcome to my world. I had to have my top teeth removed today and because I live in Massachusetts, I will have to go without my teeth until Mass Health says I can have them. No person should ever have to go without their teeth. Immediate dentures should be a priority for those of us in Massachusetts, and in any state that disallows them as "immediate." My issue now is...when.

Every Senator and Representative in Massachusetts should have to go through this, and I guarantee that if they did....no one would ever go without "immediate dentures" again. It is not degrading enough to be on disability, subjected to the rules of the state but then to humiliate one even more, they disallow "immediate dentures." If you are in a position to aid in making this change, please step up and look at the people that are being subjected to this arrangement.

IT IS MY GIFT TO JAMES

ButtercupImage by .koltregaskes via FlickrWhat an interesting day. I spent some of it creating a blog for my friend James, which he was extremely grateful for. Shortly after that was done, he began to experience the miracle of my computer. We had an amazing laugh about the experience but just 5 minutes ago I went back into my blogger dashboard and realized that all of my blogs are now in James' name. It is too late to call him but I know he will get a great laugh out of that. But, as you read my posts, know, I am not James...I am rosee285, as I have always been. AnnMarie.

It's funny, but I know that there is purpose in this experience. James and I so enjoyed doing this together today, but neither of us expected this new occurrence. I have no problem sharing my work with James, because I know that only good will go his way because it is my experience to receive good things and now he gets to enjoy that also.

WHERE WILL HILLARY BE ON MOTHER'S DAY?

A celebratory Mother's Day cookie cake.Image via WikipediaI am not normally, someone who is outspoken about politics, but when I heard the outcome today of the democratic race this morning, I cringed. I think that people are overlooking a really important fact about Obama…Did this preacher just begin to preach about these things and if no, then why did Obama stay in that ministry so long? I am disheartened to think that we might be under the tutelage of this man who comes from a ministry of racism and un-american beliefs as his minister. I see where he denounced him, but seriously, are we ignoring the fact that that man did not become senile overnight. He must have been preaching those sermons right along. I would really like to hear the answer to that question.

I see Hillary Clinton on the campaign trail and I wonder how the world would be with a woman at the helm. I believe that there is a world of men, right here in the U.S., that would like to see that take place also. Men who know who taught them to be kind, polite and generous to others. It was and still is a mother’s job to teach her children how to be kind instead of right all the time. It is mothers, in the highest percentage of families, that rear children with faith in a higher power, and teach their children that racism, hatred and intolerance are things they should never ignore. It is mothers that teach their children to stand up for injustices they see, but without violence. It is mothers that teach children that happiness is a “natural state of mind.” When we celebrate Mother’s Day this year, I personally, as a mother, would like to know that I have taught my children those things….oh wait, I did. I believe that Hillary did also. She still gets my vote.

The thing about The Secret and “The Law of Attraction” that you have to remember is this: You must believe that it is always working and there is no stopping it, you cannot do anything wrong, just do something every single day in the direction of what you want in your life. And you will get there. Time is irrelevant though, you must believe that what you are doing is bringing you what you desire and be grateful everyday for what you have.

What was before the Beatles? Dinosaurs?

The appearance of The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, February 9, 1964, marked the dramatic start of the British Invasion.Image via WikipediaI read an article yesterday that brought “instinct” to mind, and it took a hold of my conscience. I have been thinking about how I am affected by relationships. I have in the past not known when things were about to get rocky. I have always tried to see the best in everyone, but I have realized now, how bad my instincts have been lately, and how alert I need to be about them.

Knowing that there is a huge difference between being lonely and being alone, is helpful when I think about the people that I really cannot keep in my life. It is sad, but we all change (hopefully for the better), and as we change, our environment changes, and so the people we associate with does also. It is all dependent on what direction you plan on going. When I was 16, my friends were all in love with my boyfriend because the Beatles were new to us, and he looked like Paul McCartney (actually he still does) but we all had that in common along with other 16 year old things. When I was 30, divorced, and working in a man’s world, while token women were still being sought after, I surrounded myself with women that were successful as I was then. When I re-married and had another set of children, I was an at home Mom for awhile, so my friends were married moms. Here I am close to a milestone and even greater success is on my mind. Actually more than ever. This is the milestone that counts the most to me, because it will be “all mine,” meaning not a husband or one of my children’s successes, my own success in my own time and my own way, so the friends I choose and find I am happy to be with, will be again, like me., successful. The Law of Attraction will always be in place, once you open Pandora’s box, there is no closing going on except a Real Estate one…..
I guess I really dated myself with this posting....well, at least I'm dating...just kidding.

WHEN YOU SEE WILLIE NELSON TELL HIM, HE IS MY HERO!

SmileImage by Editor B via FlickrWHEN YOU SEE WILLIE NELSON TELL HIM, HE IS MY HERO!

God I am so grateful for the Spring. I just came in from a 40 minute power walk and the whole time I was out there, with Willie playing in my ears, I was thinking, "How do you know me so well, Willie? The simple pleasure of "Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain", motivating me to smile at everything and everyone I saw. The pace picks up a little with "If You've Got The Money, I've got The Time", and pure bliss flows through me with "Georgia on My mind", watching this Magnolia ready to bloom. "Blue Skies" made me walk with my head pointed at the sky, talking to the Universe, although "within". Universe, Thank You for this beautiful day, and the power to leave my home, and go out into the world, and enjoy the pure essence of "within."

I guess "My Heroes Have always Been Cowboys," brought me around another bend with anticipation of "On The Road Again," and a respite of "Always On My Mind", played as I watched this little, beautiful, blonde, pony tailed, little imp walk past me with 3 tiny little water balloons, reminding me of the first beautiful day of every Spring when I would go out and buy balloons and let the kids fill them up, as a celebration of the season, and the start of school vacation. By the time my mind moved past this beautiful child, "Always on My Mind" was helping me reminisce about the kids and the balloons. It is knock out, gorgeous days like this, that put pure joy in every one of us, and sharing it with water balloons and the kids was the purest of life.

"City of New Orleans", reminded me of my oldest getting married in New Orleans, and not telling anyone, until they got back, but my son was lucky that Willie, followed up with "Forgivin You Was Easy."

"Living In The PromiseLand",
finished up my walk as I circled my neighbors gardens to see what Spring had left on their doorstep this year. A beautiful array of tiny, little, beginnings of perfect miracles that will share their joy with them, through into the Fall again.

THANK YOU WILLIE FOR A PERFECT DAY, AGAIN!

IMAGINE...A WORLD FULL OF FRIENDS!

Footprints in sand. Marinha Grande, Portugal.Image via Wikipedia "Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Others stay awhile,
make footprints on our hearts and we are never, ever the same."

Anonymous

When I first read the quote above, I thought, the author was referring to death, but then, as I read it again, I realized that death is not the only separation between friends and family. In the course of our life, (even though life is only the dash on your gravestone between your date of birth and your date of death, according to Eckhart Tolle)we naturally come in contact everyday with someone new, it can be a quick "Hi, nice to meet you," or it can be the beginning of a long standing friend or life partner. All of the connections should be made in the same way. I believe that it is important to treat everyone as if they will become your friend. Make no assumptions about what you see in their face. "It is not your business what others think of you", that is the greatest lesson I have ever learned, again from Eckhart Tolle. If you treat every person as though they are about to become your life long friend, you will have no regrets.

A life with no regrets should be the life we live everyday. Not to diminish that sentence with an old adage, but "make everyday the first day of the rest of your life." Make it a point to greet every person you meet, with the mind set already planted, that they will become your friend. Imagine, a world full of friends....WOW!

It's not who you are that holds you back, it's who you think you're not

The Secret (2006 film)Image via Wikipedia

The Law of Attraction teaches that we are what we think about. Our thoughts become things. Ask, believe it will happen, and we will receive. Change our thoughts to change our mind. This list is endless

I spend a great deal of time protecting my thoughts from the perils of "unmanaged" information. I go to great lengths these days to be particularly aware of what information, noise, or action is taking place. I work at quieting my mind and staying on track with positive, knowledgeable thoughts. It is actually becoming habitual, and my focus does not have to be so acute, but the journey to get here was incredibly interesting. It involved watching the movie "The Secret" more times than I dare to mention, then writing every word of it, and finally watching many more times with the captions and the sound on. I applied every method of learning that I could to it. Somewhere along the way I recognized the idea that if we all tried to learn this way, illiteracy would vanish. We would have exceptionally higher numbers, of English as a second language, graduates. It would be much easier for people to develop other languages. We can apply this method to everything we choose to learn. It is by no means new, and I realize that, I just think that it is a lost tool and should be renovated for modern means and used to help develop languages in illiterate countries, and also here in the U.S. also. Teach people to read and learn whatever language they choose, by using all of the senses at each level. Again, not a breakthrough for humanity, the technology I know exists, it is just a matter of encouraging others to learn this way. Imagine...everyone could have a universal language, life as we know it would change in quite dramatic ways. But, of course, being so simplistic...why would it work? Funny thing is, that is exactly why it would work.
