EVERYONE'S LIFE PURPOSE

I spent some time today watching a video of Eckhart Tolle’s The Flowering of Human Consciousness, Everyone’s Life Purpose.” It has led to an interesting day. I have been watching him with Oprah doing the book club online. What he talks about in his books has been confusing to me, but today I believe I found clarity. I guess my AHA moment was realized today. I heard this:

“The dash between your date of birth and date of death is the accumulation of your entire life.”

All the dramas, including my two marriages and the other dramatic experiences in my life are only a dash on my gravestone. It was after hearing that that I realized the expectancy I feel, a great deal of the the time, is fear…fear that I will not become who I am supposed to be before my life ends. Afraid the flower will not bloom until death. It is close to death when a lot of us experience the release of the “ego”and the light begins to shine or the flower blooms. Well, like others I’m sure, I do not want to have that burden. The solution is to let go of the “ego” now. By looking for myself, I will just attract more stress, trying to find myself.

I do not want the accumulation of my life to be reduced to a dash, so the rest of my life will be lived by experiencing the beauty of every day, the beauty of every moment. We all get caught up in the collective mind set, that keeps us suffering. We believe that we are looking for peace in the world, and collectively we are saying we want peace, but the whole time we are looking for it, armies are still being formed and weapons are still being made. We are looking for peace, while peace is already within us, in the stillness. When we are in the stillness there is the peace. More of us need to want the same thing, so collectively, we will find stillness, so instead of looking for peace recognize and be grateful for already having it and enjoy the stillness. Peace is stillness now, not in the future. While recognizing these things today, I was in the present, in the stillness. We can only be there for such short periods of time, so I want as many moments of that as I can find.

I am not looking for myself any longer, I am here, and soon I will discover, or it will be shown to me, what the purpose of my life really is. I know it is to help others, the way has not been shown to me yet, but it will. Had I not already been awakened by “The Secret,” again, I may have missed this.

The Law of Attraction tells us, what we think about we will attract. The world is full of unhappy people, who, while thinking that they are looking for ways to be happy, find more unhappiness. Recognize the happiness in your life and you will find more happiness. Do not go looking for anything. You already have happiness, be grateful for it first and foremost, and the universe will reward you with joy beyond compare. You can be in“now here”or “nowhere.”

Make a choice to watch it, read it or live it…but at least try it, and remember this:

LIVE IN THE NOW!

I send a newsletter to my family everyday that has a joke for the day and some words of inspiration. While collecting material for it, I ran across this joke:


The End Is Near!

A local priest and a pastor were fishing on the side of the road. They thoughtfully made a sign saying, "The End is Near! Turn yourself around now before it's too late!" and showed it to each passing car. One driver who drove by didn't appreciate the sign and shouted at them, "Leave us alone, you religious nuts!"

All of a sudden they heard a big splash, looked at each other, and the priest said to the pastor, "You think maybe we should have just said 'Bridge Out' instead?"


I have been thinking all day about the way things are expressed to us and by us. It reminded me that there are so many interpretations of the bible, philosophies on life , opinions, judgments. They are all just words. I came to the conclusion at the end of my day after checking out different sources, that all there is or should be, is the present. What we think, feel and do right now is what matters. Only the NOW matters. Everything else is old, used, and not working, usually, so rather than change how we think, feel or see things, we should just BE, I think Dr. Phil puts it best when he says, “How’s that workin for ya?” When things aren’t working, change your mind…TRY LIVING IN THE NOW!

I'M A RIOT, AREN'T I?

Seriously, I wrote my last blog and talked about the insignificance of money and then I deluge my next post with business ads. Well, the bills have to get paid, despite the value I place on money.
It is unfortunate, but true, that you cannot live without money. Actually people do, but they are usually homeless, without jobs, or disabled, and unable to earn income from home, or survive on disability or retirement. What I was referring to was the necessity to be rich. Being rich provides the ability to help a great deal more people, but even on a steady income, there should always be enough money for helping others.

A friend once taught me that when you lend money...don't lend...GIVE. So I have adopted that policy. That doesn't mean you should come running to me for money...I am still in the process of earning enough to make what i do for others much greater than it is right now.

When I was younger I still remember thinking "Why can't we just run the government with monopoly money? What is the point of money? Why can't the government just print more? Well, I learned that everything is off balance when the economy is off balance, which is the same for the Universe.

When we are out of align with The Universe, our life is not running on a steady course, we are having a hard time, we are dealing with life issues and crises. God never meant for us to go through hard times, but he is actually pleased when we do, and we find the blessing on the other side. So the next time you are in the middle of something really difficult, remember "FOOTPRINTS"....God is carrying us through the hard times...and when we are past them we have gotten a huge blessing.

So try to always remember to find the blessing, because there absolutely is one for every life issue. Make a list off the top of your head...name as many crises as you can and then look for what would not contain a blessing. You will come up with issues like World Wars and 911 and many others but I promise you, if you look from WITHIN... you will find the blessing. It is always there.

END WAR AND PREJUDICE!

I have spent today, off and on studying, “The New Earth, Awakening to Your Life’s Purpose” by Eckhart Tolle. Since I heard Wayne Dyer speak on Ellen yesterday, the philosophy they share( Tolle and Dyer) is keeping me focused on understanding more. When I was introduced to “The Secret,” I found a new language, and many thoughts to modify behavior, already planted in my mind. The philosophy, that Tolle and Dyer share is another step in the Laws of the Universe that is so intriguing, but I find, have also already been planted in my mind just in different words. I have recently read the "Science of Getting Rich", by Wallace Wattles and am still reading “Think and Grow Rich”, by Napoleon Hill. Having been labeled a great deal of my life for my unique view of things, I am both happy and relieved to hear these ideas. I feel validated and assured that my awareness is exactly that…awareness.

We should all take a look at eastern philosophies that people have studied for centuries, and learn to apply them to our everyday life. By doing this, maybe instead of trying to end wars or prejudice, eventually there will be no wars or prejudice. It will take a strong voice and a lot of reading but we should all continue to educate ourselves about the mind and the abilities we have overlooked or misunderstood for centuries. I know that when I began this journey my focus was different, and now that I have changed direction, I feel that my purpose is in service of others, and I have begun that with “The Secret”and will continue through The Law of Attraction, and directly to the other Laws of The Universe.
